Learn to play Rio samba with an enthusiastic group. New members are always welcome. No prior experience is required. Drums are provided. First session is free.
The sessions are Tuesday evenings at Openhouse, The Old Painswick Inn, Gloucester St, Stroud GL5 1QG. Google maps.
- 6:30 pm: doors open
- 6:40 pm to 7:30 pm:
- Up to and including January 14th 2025: beginners’ session. No booking required. Just turn up.
- January 21st and 28th: instrument specific session (for existing members)
- From February 4th 2025: dance session, open to all. No booking required. Just turn up.
- 7:40 pm to 9:30 pm: main drumming session, with a 15 minute break at around 8:30 pm. This is open to everyone, just turn up.
Cost:
- First session for either time slot is free.
- Beginners’ drumming is £4 a session for block booking or £5 for pay as you go.
- Dance group is £6 for block booking or £7 for pay as you go.
- Main group is £7 per session for block booking or £8 for pay as you go.
- If you pay for the main session then you are welcome to come to the early session too for no extra cost.
