Learn to play Rio samba with an enthusiastic group. New members are always welcome. No prior experience is required. Drums are provided. First session is free.
The sessions are Tuesday evenings and usually at Openhouse, The Old Painswick Inn, Gloucester St, Stroud GL5 1QG. Google maps.
For the rest of December they are at Stroud Youth Support Centre, Ryeleaze Rd, Stroud GL5 1JR. Google maps.
- 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm: dance session, open to all. No booking required. Just turn up. Live drumming from 7:15 pm
- 6:30 pm specific instrument sessions for existing members
- 7:40 pm to 9:30 pm: main drumming session, with a 15 minute break at around 8:30 pm. All welcome. If you are a beginner then consider coming to the Wednesday beginners’ session.
Dates:
- November: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th: dance and drum sessions
- December: 2nd, 9th and 16th: dance and drum sessions
Cost:
- First session for either time slot is free.
- Dance group is £6 for block booking or £7 for pay as you go.
- Main drumming group is £7 per session for block booking or £8 for pay as you go.
- If you pay for the main session then you are welcome to come to the early session too for no extra cost.
